This is a japanese 1992 car with 120K KMs on the clock when it came into my ownership. It is quite loud at both ends, yet strangely subtle on idle. Engine built by RS-Aizawa in japan in 2001. I suspect they balanced the pistons/rods when that was done. Mapped to 124 WHP by Skuzzle, now on a Link G4X / RX8 yellows. (Previously made 114WHP on an HKS ecu and RS*R 4-1 Mani. ) 8200 rpm engine with the limiter at 8K - RS Aizawa's Toyota/Yamaha AE101 ITB kit, with 50mm spacers (By Skuzzle) and 50mm trumpets (The Aizawa ones) Toda 272 9mm I/E Cams - Solid Lightweight Head Valve Train - no idea what power it makes with these yet tho Maxim Works 4-2-1 manifold, FGK RM01A Exhaust Aizawa frame rails and reinforcement 4.78 FD T2 Torsen (fitted with much helps thanks to a load of people here) - aka a sikdiff. Skuzzle semiorganic clutch and lightweight flywheel, which feels so oem.. Filter: ITG JC40/65 on a T3 AE101 backing plate (Makes 1HP Power loss, so great for the 50MM trumpets) Brakes: NBFL Sport Stoptech Grooved discs, hel lines, Rodders front and JDM OE Mazda rear pads Suspension: Meisters CRD Seats: Recaro SR-7 SK100s (my rear canoe is too big for normal buckets..) http://instagr.am/p/Cia88TjLVZq

Love this car!! Engine bay looks so minimal . Thanks.. and funny - I superficially wish it was even more minimal. Some setups I've seen are so much cleaner-looking. tucked looms, etc. I am thinking to do an air feed from behind the passenger-side headlight to the front of the throttle bodies. More cool airflow more POWA. Inspirations!

If you get a honda civic 3 core aftermarket rad (like i did for my CAIS) and put it towards the passenger side you will have a great big cold air gap right in front of the ITBs - a nice sort of scoop next to the rad and a big bore but short bit of hose would be well tidy (in my mind that is - if i actually did it, it would probably look messy!!)
oh and BTW its a very very nice car!
