Previously tried one of these. Didn't fit because my exhaust doesn't clear it. www.gcfabrications.co.uk/Mx5_Rear_Lower_Brace_With_Diff_Pickup/p2703117_13653844.aspxI wanted to get it sorted as I could feel the difference in another car having a decent brace there. They asked for photos of the diff area this time. 1 month later.. they've made one that goes around the exhaust area on the left side It's kinda like the linked one but U shaped now I should have taken photos... Still makes a triangle with the the diff/PPF pickup. Ace! So glad we have these guys in the UK.

I feel like that would make for much nvh from the diff wanting to move about and this not letting it? May also help with my homeless diff problems!

Be interesting to see if this reduces the axle tramp on launch or it just breaks diff casings.

Broken diff casing is better than stripped CWP because of tramp/wheelhop...

The thinking goes: If they already chose that point for the PPF attachment... it should be the right place to brace it from the rear too.
We'll just have to see XD bang.

Would love to hear some feedback on this as I get some seriously bad axel tramp off the line. Like nick says however mx5's already suffer with snapping diff casings and by fitting this it would put more load on the casing. I would imagine the pff has a bit of flex as its bolted to the gearbox wich moves with the engine on the mounts?

It is fitted ! I will be testing it shortly. Install was simple enough.. maybe a 60 minute job. You can see below where it picks up the diff and PPF I will give it a ride now and report back. TRUBROTIME BRO! Alex

You can see where it angles down away from the line of the PPF. The design just needs tucking up 1-2 inches.
Very well built.

The problem is a little more obvious when the ground is there.
