Really nice set of 5s - I think you may have the same problem I have with Scotch ........and beer .......... and wine 'n stuff. You may need help Your Pitcrew is gorgeous, they've kind of grown on me over time. If I was looking for another 5 right now that's what I'd be hunting down.

Haha sorry, I did seem to spend a lot of time doing test drives back then. I was impressed with Lazzas SC'd one that day, very rapid. Hope that car is still about.. He still has it but he's gone back to NA.

Thanks mang. Gone to a good owner now though, so all's well. Nah, I'm still in straya. Currently eyeing up this beast for my next daily! www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/kallangur/cars-vans-utes/1998-toyota-starlet-3-door/1130600549It's suspiciously cheap, but whatevs ahahah. I'll be back at end of Jan, so hopefully I'll have enough time to save for something interesting. I want to try other cars before I get another 5, although I still have the urge to just say "fk it" and get another one :c
Yeah I have drifted away from MX5s but then come back to them. There is some cars on my bucket list I would like to try like some 70's Classic Japanese cars at some point but time and money are my biggest factors to not achieving this.
Thanks for posting this! Best collection of '5s I've seen.
Thanks mate. I would have a few more roadsters if I could as there is some lovely examples on here but with what I have it covers from a nicely original limited edition to the more outlandish Japanese style modified roadsters you see.

I had a MP62 VR Limited a few years ago which I think is the same supercharger. Mine wasn't intercooled and only had Supra injectors with a megasquirt ECU making around 200bhp. I also had the forged engine supercharger set-up now in the Corns and kept that as always felt more lively. Imagine the MP62 had more room for play if I wanted but have the FM2 for that.
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks having a few is normal
I would like your RS Aizawa IRTB roadster as missed out on that a few years ago when I was being sensible.

I think I do have a problem with roadsters. This year I have done better as I have gone over a year without buying another one, which is a record for me. However on the bucket list is a RS Limited as had a few (and sadly stripped a few) and wouldn't mind another.
I wasn't a fan of Pitcrews to start with but like you they grew on me and the examples I saw in Japan are what inspired by black Pitcrew, which I built from scratch so allowed me to do some of the jobs I always liked from the best examples I saw in Japan.

You built that one from scratch?? Looks a lovely job I must say, very impressed - I'm just a teensy bit jealous Yes, the RS's are nice, it just seems to be a bit sharper than a normal Roadster somehow - not sure if that's the placebo effect of the RS badge or not though. Apart from the Meister suspension mine is pretty much bog standard. My first 5 was an NA which i bought around around 2005, another fresh Jap import with around 45k km on it - normal Special Edition one that though. I only sold it because a) it was silver - I'm not a big lover of silver cars and b) I was offered a nice motorbike and just had to have it - regretted it as soon as the fella drove it off down the street. There followed 2 NCs I loved the 1.8 ragtop but hated the powered hard top and neither of them did it for me like the NA did, but the RS exceeds even that for fun factor, I love it. They'll have to bury it with me.

You effectively already have an RS mate, but with fancy interior NA RS that is, not Manta's

They'll have to bury it with me. Yeah the Pitcrew I built from scratch. I believe it's the first and perhaps still the only full Pitcrew conversion to be built outside Japan. It went massively over budget and the number of parts I had coming from Japan for this build at one point was a bit mad. I've always preferred the MK1. Never had any of the other models but driven a MK2 but missed the more basic interior of the MK1. RS Limited is a great model, I've had 4 or 5 over the years. I've a R Limited now as had I think 10 of these type over the years, which is my personal favourite limited edition as I like the colour and interior combination. That comes with the same running gear as the RS Limited so I know what you mean as they do seem a big more eager in stock form to some other stock 1.8 MK1's. btw you should consider a poke at mantas's mk2.5 rs .. at least with you it'd go somewhere to be loved. Looks a nice car mate and thanks for the heads up. For me if buy a RS it would be a MK1 model though. You effectively already have an RS mate, but with fancy interior NA RS that is, not Manta's Yeah mate I know. Pretty much the same cars. I'd like another MK1 RS Limited if funds, time and space allowed as always liked the few I've had. That or a white R limited like I used to have would be good.
