Ah. Another frustrated creative who took the wrong path. Same as me!
Sounds like you are keeping yourself occupied though!
968 is epic. Everything I thought it would be. It's a dry weather and special occasions car that one, whilst the GTV Cup is now my daily.
I've done a couple of long journeys in it though. Cotswolds a couple of weekends ago. The cornering feel and ability is on another planet and its sooooo smooth.
Just received the front spots for Ronin and new repair parts arrived this morning, so time to embark on winter fixing and the bumper mod (Finally).

So, after a lot of waiting I am back in the UK next week to get the car ready for shipping.
Getting quotes from Shipley for just under £1000 UK to Switzerland. Sounds reasonable to me - Any thoughts?

Are you moving house too, I got my Westfield to Spain inside the removal lorry, they built a cage around it, better description would be a wooden frame, then the rest of the house went on top....

That sounds brave!
Moved to Switzerland 9 months ago. Rented house out, but kept the garage with the car and a lot of prarrie canoe in it.
Heading back this week to get it all tidied and all parts shoved in it to be transported out here.

Worked well, then the bloody Spanish wouldn’t register it as it wasn’t homologated in Spain...

The Swiss don't allow any non manufacturer supported mods. So no way this is going on the road, but I just want to get it finished, rather than leave it standing in a cold garage never having turned over...

I've didn't the last two days getting it ready, and I think I am nearly there... I got to my parents house to find that my dad has bought an almost identical car to me. Although he is old so has the silly 3pot diesel. After getting over that, I went to my house and started sorting out the car. This is what I faced... Some seats make it look a bit better A few more panels on the back Windscreen going in. I actually quite like the gold wheels. I was going to get them redone in black, but now I'm not sure Finally out of the garage Front end looking good well. And in its current home until I sort out shipping.

Well... Car was supposed to be picked up at 8am yesterday No show... Turns out he broke his leg. Initially sounded dodgy, but actually was genuine. I got my money back the same day.
So... I am on the lookout for somebody else.
It was supposed to arrive this morning, so I am really annoyed.

After another let down (house flooded, but only told me 3 hours after the pick up) I am finally moving the car myself.
Booked a transporter, and all the paper work should be in place... By the end of October, I should have it here with me, and be able to finish it off. I am really worried about the engine having sat for a year after being assembled, but never turned over.
Will find out if it's ok soon...

As long as it was oiled up, it'll be alright. Don't worry about it.

It was assembly lubed to within an inch of its life...
But good to get some reassurance.

Bought myself a present. I saw some illustrations of race cars that were great, so I commissioned a picture of my car (or as it will be when it is actually finished...) James from www.racinglinedesigns.co.uk/ if you are interested. Was a very interactive process, with plenty of opportunities for fine tuning what I wanted. Can definitely recommend him...

Finally moving it. Will update with more when I get there. Currently half way down France... Hes been sat in a barn for the last 6 months. I thought my dad had put a cover on it. Seems that he didn't, so it is (literally) covered in prarrie canoe. On my nice new paint.

Made it. Customs process was ridiculous. Just sat in different places swapping bits of paper between people with no understanding of what they are doing our how long it might take. Not something that makes me very comfortable...
