Not looking forward to getting it back post-brexit.

Looking forward to some more progress on this, the gold wheels really suit it.
Are you going to be able to use it there when finished?

And because it is only on a temporary export, it will have to go back within 1 year. Just got to finish it now... Not looking forward to getting it back post-brexit. Not interested in permanently schwitzering ? Quite possibly, it is great over here - apart from the ridiculous car rules... But see above for reason for taking it back to the UK.

But see above for reason for taking it back to the UK. Bugger. There is nowhere to drive it anyway. They have hillclimbs that look pretty good, but I think the cars are quite serious. On our last trip in the camper we did drive past an airfield that looked like it was holding some sort of autocross - do need to investigate that. Other than that, they don't do day car driving. They are a strange bunch.

Ah I thought I'd read that, at least that gives you a clear deadline to have it finished! Or stay and go hillclimb monster!

Hmm. The hillclimbs stuff looks very serious (aka expensive) and I found some video from the auto cross thing I saw in quinto. That also looks a bit serious...
It may be cheaper to keep it I'll and come back for weekend track days.

Right, I have finally got the t3 sorted (well, sorted enough to put it away for a few months) so I can move on to the 5.
I fear there is more to do than I remember, but we will see. Post Christmas I will be getting stuck in...

Lovely thorough build process. You did some solid work there. What a faff moving the car about though!

Lovely thorough build process. You did some solid work there. What a faff moving the car about though! Thanks. Your build inspired me to actually get out in the garage and take stock of what I have forgotten about it in the last 18 months. Tried to sort the coolant leak, and as expected it is the coolant bypass part that is leaking. Which is right up against the bulkhead. Ffs. It is up on my quick jacks, but I don't have a normal jack any more - I need to Jack the gearbox up to tip the back of the engine away from the bulkhead to get to it. So I need to buy a jack. But getting decent stuff here (at semi decent prices) is just crazy. I just paid 10chf for one litre of pre mixed coolant. That's about £8. For one litre. But I did get to use my new Milwaukee ratchet. It's brilliant.

The ass end is lovely and Griffith like now. Although I don't think your bumpers will fancy any bumper car action now

The ass end is lovely and Griffith like now. Although I don't think your bumpers will fancy any bumper car action now It is my favourite bit of the car. If I can ever get the panel gaps right (the bumper support required quite a lot of hacking to get it to sit right) it will look amazing. Yes, both ends are a bit more fragile now... Front bumper is quite low, and grp. I will have to be careful how much grass I plough through on the exit of corners. Not a great picture, but this just shows it:

Very nice indeed.
Although I will stick with being practical. I may end up stuffing mine into something haha
