Got bored of having a multicoloured car, also got bored of waiting for my mate with all the semi-pro paint gubbins. Ordered some graffiti paint, behold the colour change! 8 cans should hopefully give decent coverage, we'll see!

Lolz this should look pretty mental when it's done. Are you blending the ducktail?

It might be a bit whacky, time will tell! I had to flip a coin to choose the paint. It was either this, or bright yellow haha!
Nah ducktail, GV lip and overfenders will all just stay riveted on. The car isn't clean enough to be a show pony so I'm not gonna bother trying to make it one. It's duty is to serve as something for me to learn to use on track so I'm expecting the odd bump and will surely make regular trips to the stoney gulch that is the gravel! Graffiti paint will allow me to cover up scrapes at home rather than the body shop.

I don't want to say I'm trying to copy the Minty Fresh MX5 but I'm unsure how else to put it haha

I do like that...
And yeah, respray damage at home. Very tempting. My paint is utterly shocking, so I need to look into options.
You think 8 cans will cover the car?

There's a few options I guess. Graffiti rattles, car paint rattles, plastidip, wraps or if you have the bunce then a proper job. My car cost me about 5p and the bodywork is knackered so it's not worth spending loads on for it only to get knocked. I'm spending my folding money on power!
I did a bit of research and it's there or there abouts. It's not the end of the world if not, 8 400mm cans cost me £33 posted. I did buy all of their stock but there are other places you can get it so can always buy more.

I'm sure it'll look great mate. Are you lacquering to get a gloss finish or is that not a thing with this kind of paint?
I'm tempted, the left side of my car has had a "blowover" by someone. Literally zero prep, it's pitted and there's drip lines on the black sill paint. Whoever did it was completely inept, so I don't think I could make it look worse.

I'm not sure, I usually totally balls up the lacquering process no matter how careful I am so I think I'll be leaving it without. It's supposed to be gloss anyways.
Kinda depends what look you're going for, if you're headed in a track/drift direction then just go at it with whatever paint you can get your hands on! If you're after something more OEM then it'll probably be a more restrained approach to take with proper gear.

Ah well either way mate get it done. Yours is looking like a Polo Harlequin at the minute I need to think about it, but I might very well go for it soon! My car is far from a garage queen haha.

It completely is and I hate it haha!
I'll update this with how it goes, obviously need to wait for the weather to not be totally sh*t and then it might help you decide on whether you want to attack your car or whether I've made mine even more worthless haha
