Few little presents for Bol. Won a bargain Nardi from eBay, 340mm exact size I’ve been after. In the box, a DaveFab rear jacking brace, HKB hub and some new wheel nuts for when the Wats go on.

Spent a little time on Bol yesterday finally popping on the Watanabe’s and a style bar I have also had for a while. In terms of what Bol has been up to recently, he has basically been garaged all winter aside from having a new rear sill on the driverside at the end of 2019 and a new MOT at the beginning of March. Love the Watanabe’s, need to fettle the arch or arch liner as there was some rubbing on the front wheels, actually just driverside so may be solved by a diet haha Not surprised there was some rubbing based on the fact they sit flush with the arches, due to the offset, no spacers. The style bar I decided to go with works nicely cosmetically. Some pics

So took Bol up to the highlands recently for a quick break, over 1800 miles in 4 days, didn’t skip a beat, performed perfectly. The result though being that I want to make Bol more comfortable for these kind of trips. VX220 seats are lovely but after those miles, would rather go with something more comfy! Most likely recovered tombstones but I do miss being lower with the VX220’s, foamectomy will surely defeat the purpose of moving on from the VX220’s. Also keen to switch from HSD’s to a nicer setup for fast road and some comfort, any suggestions? Koni’s with Eibach lowering springs? Just picked up my third ARC chamber! Going to keep this stock for ultimate reliability for these trips. Maybe tweak the engine a little if and when a rebuild happens down the line if necessary, just ticked over 170000k mile of miles/km’s. Also tweaked the interior with a couple presents for Bol after he performed so well!

I haven't gone quite as far as you did, but had a long trip in Fizbne's old silver mk1 which had yellow Koni & Tein springs with a Corbeau sprint that now resides in my car. It was pretty firm but comfy enough when i was about 5 years younger
For fast road driving, in my opinion it's hard to beat a set of Meister's really. BC and D2 also are a great choice for aqdjustable coilovers that work well on the road

I’ve just swapped out a set of HSD monopro’s. Great on the track though. Got some BC DS’s incoming from BOFI- if they ever arrive.......
