I thought it time to start a thread on here for Bol. I've had him since Aug '15 and he's gone through several guises in the intervening period. I've never been able to concentrate a great deal of time on him since owning due to studying to become a Paramedic and working full time taking up most of my free time. Hopefully that will all be finished come April when everything should come to an end and hopefully I'll qualify as a Paramedic. Should that all go to plan I hope to work and travel abroad in around 12 months, however some new national guidance may mean that may have to be put on hold depending upon how my local Trust implement certain changes. A silver lining to any delay is it'll most likely mean i can complete a Masters before travelling. Anyway to the car, recently due to said soon future travel I've returned Bol to pretty much stock spec as I plan on storing him should i go away. Aside from all the usual S-Special extras Bol has: Watanabe F8FS, possibly magnesium wheels. Need to weigh one to confirm. ARC Chamber > K&N filter panel. RSR 4-1 manifold > Silenced decat > Racing Beat cat back exhaust. Smoked sidelights. OEM front lip. Gear lever extender > JASS upper shift boot. IL motorsport Lower front subframe brace. OEM rear lip spoiler. MK2 hood frame. Soon to be added are some HSD coilovers and a 1.8 brake upgrade. So some pics of Bol's evolution.

Plans?
Well all dependent upon what happens with work. Should there be a delay in my travel plans then it'll be the following:
Give the sills some attention. Source a decent mohair hood. Decide on ITB's or just stick with stock induction, i like the look for DaveFab's Randall cowl creations. Source an oil leak. Trying to decide if i want to go for running a hardtop. Lightened fly wheel. Alloy radiator. Alloy washer bottle and header tank, looking forward to seeing what G19 come up with. Crinkle black cam cover and throttle body. Thicker anti roll bars. Torsen. Some custom interior bits.
That's off the top of my head, I look forward to finally getting some time back to work on him.
Annoyingly recently sold a roll bar and radiator cover before this new national guidance came in and when my travel plans were locked in, Now I'll have to source another if i am to stay.

So after grabbing some BBS with a lower offset (VW BBS ET33) with nearly new Hankook tyres from eBay a couple weeks back, these OEM 15" BBS came up for sale locally and for a decent price of £180 with two centre caps. Couldn't resist them so went and grabbed them this morning and got them on the car as I was taking the Wats off anyway as they're now sold. I do really like the classic look.

Popped the Cover on that I picked up the other day, funnily enough i bought it from the guy I bought BOL from! I didn't even realise when we were messaging. The penny dropped when i turned into his road He said he meant to give it to me when i bought the car! I thought that meant he was now going to just give it to me haha but alas I ended up still paying the already agreed £25. Pretty happy though as it's pretty decent.

Great looking car mate! Personally I'm a fan of the OEM+ look, my car is much the same - a few subtle mods but nothing too flash

I've got all the stock S-special bits back now so Bol can always be put back to the current look going forward even if i do fancy mixing it up again. I think my next look will depend on my next set of wheels whatever they maybe.

So my HSD's arrived today, they aren't going on until next month due to work, studies etc. What things would people recommend refreshing at the same time. Assume most suspension parts are original Any particular bushes, droplinks etc? Thanks

Do the drop links (IL Motorsport uprated ones) and inspect the other bushes.

Couple bits arrived in the post today. A TDR radiator cover, a voodoo textured black gear nob(feels great) and an IL motorsport oil cap. Pretty pleased with them

So I got lulled in by the Moss sale On the way are some Racing beat end links, Jackson racing anti roll bars, quick shift kit, sun visor blanking plugs and a rear chassis brace! That's enough spending for a long while!!! Bloody Mx5's haha
