Today Marc sent me vids of it running, and then driving out of the unit and into a parking space! It lives, breathes, and moves.
So as an update:
New ECU in the car - ME221
This not only replaced the old MS PnP, but also saved the interior having to be stripped out entirely on the new car to swap wiring looms with the old car. The old car loom had been chopped and changed quite a lot so it's much preferable having it like this.
When Marc was fitting the rad from the grey car, he found out it was quite Canoeed, so there's a shiny new alloy rad on it. I'm not sure which brand or from where, but if they're happy with it, I am. There were also new silicon hoses fitted earlier to replace the dodgy old hoses so it's a mostly new cooling system.
There's no suitable fan for the car so I need to send my SPAL fan back down to Skuzzle so they can fit that, once it's been fitted then Nick can map it on the dyno.
In the mean time, Marc is fitting the Cusco 4 point cage I got from big boss man (another thing from him!!).
I've also got the final price minus the cage fitting and it's about what I expected - actually it's about what I hoped and I actually expected it to be much more, but I'm glad it's not.
Given that the price is within tolerances, I can spend money on some extras I intended to get at the start of the project.
I definitely need new tyres - after speaking to Nick at MOT Motorsport I am going to try the D Macks. I do need to get them ordered ASAP though.
I'm going to get a set of the 7" LED headlights although they are quite pricey at £110 and maybe they can wait for next month.

I've already got the red tint film to tint the rear lights. I like the all red look, especially on a white car.
Also already got the USDM sidelights and clear side repeaters.
At home I've got my Curley Motorsport carbon fibre bucket seat to go in, along with my OMP Targa suede 330mm steering wheel which I managed to revive with a deep clean and a suede brush.
I've got a harness bar and proper 3" Sabelt 6 point harnesses to go in the car, but I think I'll wait for now. The 6 points need spreader plate with eyelet holes welding on to the floor and there just won't be time to do all that before 5Fest so I'll use a normal belt with the bucket seat and do that after, some fine-tuning will be needed after pick up anyway.
I can't even remember what the stereo situation is, I've never even driven this car, but I need something decent in there. I've also got some speaker to replace the door speakers that are half decent.
The end goal for me is rather than an out and out track car, something more along the lines of a 911 GT3, so comfortable enough for long distance road trips as well as trackdays. Hence why I didn't want the interior removed entirely and re-fitted as that's a sure fire way to introduce some squeaks and rattles.
It'll be quite stock inside apart from the bucket seat, steering wheel, harness, cage, and stereo I'm thinking.
