Curious - What sort of lead time is there these days to get Skuzzle to work on your car (fairly basic stuff)?

Basic stuff I think is 1-2 weeks, best thing to do is ring up and ask though. My car has been a big project so that's why it's been there so long.

I shouldn't be spending more money at the moment, but the thought of driving the MX5 in the dark to Wales with prarrie canoe headlights after getting used to driving my E39 with amazing headlights (and my dad's 996 with Litronics) filled me with dread. So I just spent £100 on these: www.amazon.co.uk/Wrangler-Headlights-Projection-Headlight-Rubicon/dp/B06Y5VGY8V/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1501065758&sr=8-6&keywords=7%22+led+headlightThey'll arrive tomorrow and I can fit in the evening. If anyone isn't in such a rush, search for "Safe Go" brand, and they have a version of the above without angel eye or DRL for just £25 each, but they only have 1 in stock. If you snap that 1 up and then wait for another good bargain, you could get 2 for £50 rather than £100+

Are those lights mot friendly?

Mine are not E marked, they won't pass an MOT but in my opinion they are suitable for use on the road. Unlike HIDs in halogen reflector bowls, these are a sealed unit, so the unit itself is designed for the contained LEDs.
There is no self-levelling and no washers, which makes me 25% a Coxswain.

Had a good chat with Nick. It's made about 125hp at the wheels, which equates to about 150 at the fly according to their calculations. The exhintake cam has been ditched, and although compared to last time it was on the dyno it's only found 4hp at the top end, I've gained about 20-30Nm of torque throughout the rev range which is pretty massive considering the % gain, and Nick said it's a lot nicer in the midrange now.
Current issues, the brakes are doing nothing, so Marc's going to try switching out the old Carbotechs for some new standard pads and we'll see if they sort the issue.
The standard exhaust is currently knocking on the driveshaft so that's been jubilee clipped out of the way(!), there's a problem with the throttle cable, this was also there last time and I know how to fix it so that's OK, and Nick says it's popping and banging like an absolute motherCanoeer on overrun which doesn't seem to be caused by an issue, he said if I can live with it, then fine.
So I'm going down tomorrow to pick it up, and as long as Marc can fix the brake issue with any assistance from me if required, I'll be driving it home.

It's funny how all this work has been done and a few things have gone back to standard!
I am always keen to test, so we'll see how standard brakes works out. I kept running out of brakes on my old red supercharged MX5 but I never tracked that with proper tyres so I had to brake a lot more than I would have with good tyres. I put good fluid, pads, and discs on the grey car before I ever tracked it and I never had problems other than lock ups (so many lock ups) so if anything I was probably over-braked and needed a bias adjuster.
What I don't like is a ruined day, so it may all turn out OK and I don't have to brake much, the pads and discs are fine, the pedal travel doesn't go too long, and there's no issues. However, it might be that I have to manage the brakes all day which will be a drain, and not a waste of a day, but not as much fun as I could have had.

I was at Skuzzles all day yesterday with both cars.
Saw and heard this thing on the dyno - my word! Cracking stuff. Really looks the part, too.

It was a long Canoeing day.
Car's now home, I got home about 45 mins ago.
Tomorrow I need to take a punt on a random company on E London to get a wheel alignment done because the alignment is completely out and I didn't get a chance to go to Skuzzle's wheel alignment specialist guru guy in Southampton.
The brake pedal is very hard, Marc put new Yellow Stuff pads on and the brakes did get better on the drive home but I'm not 100% confident in them.
The exhaust is actually a hybrid of an exhaust someone left at the workshop and my manifold so the car does sound fruity.
We did get the DMacks fitted, they turned up early, even before I'd got there!
The engine feels great going up through the gears and makes an amazing noise.
Issues to currently resolve:
The throttle sticks a bit when you let off. It's a cable issue that I can fix but I need to play with it a little. It badly needs an alignment. The steering wheel and/or hub are not on straight. I drove home with the steering wheel at about 100 degrees off centre. The aforementioned brake issue. I HAVE NO TIME.
I've had to sack off all work I was going to do this evening because I'm so tired. My office work's been so stressful that I'm just shattered now and I need sleep.
So there's going to be no bucket seat, the hardtop is staying on, and I'll take my headlights to work and fit them there.
I haven't packed for the weekend, and in the morning I need to drive to a place in Hackney Wick, drop the car off for an alignment, and take public transport to work, then go pick the car up after work so I can drive to Wales. In the morning before I leave I have to pack and gather whatever I can that needs to be fitted like lights and steering wheel etc.
