Yeah. They started appearing a couple of days ago. I only seem to see them on the main page, at the top and bottom. They don't seem to be appearing in the middle of threads, which is good. I positively hate certain forums that insert ads as posts randomly in threads. If the ads are required to cover the hosting etc, I'm quite happy that they stay, in their current, fairly unobtrusive form.  |

yup, thankfully my adblocker is killing them tho Mine is blocking them as well but I get a message asking me to disable the blocker to support the website. More than happy to support Mighty 5s but not so keen on random advertising. |

My ad blocker is working but I did get a message asking me to switch ad blocker off and allow ads!,
I get this with a few forums now

Why don't we all donate a quid or two via PayPal and cover the cost of getting them removed? A whip round every few months can't hurt.

Yeah i saw them. I dont care if their is ads as long as they are not virus riddled and getting in the way. I guess its just the host site trying to make a bit more money?

I currently pay about £6 a month to keep the forum as free. The system is banded, the more page views he more you pay. As the forum has got busier we've tripped over the 100,000 page views in a month limit which is why there are ads.
Tomorrow night I have a free evening so I'll sort out changing the scheme to cover the next band up. It'll cost me another couple of quid but I'm not interested in taking anyone's money unless they're buying stuff from the shop.
Which reminds me, I need to photo the new stickers and put them up.
