First ever breakdown in the 5 this evening! Clutch slave cylinder has obviously leaked and dumped most of the fluid from the master resulting in not being able to select any gears. No fluid on me at the time and nowhere near to get some, so the RAC came out and gave me some fluid and helped to bleed the system before following me home  New cylinder ordered and thats my saturday afternoon booked up replacing that Damn good weather to be on the side of the road, sun tan and everything  |

Had a fiddle with the 5 today, playing with the idea of making a cowl style intake Got an old BMC carbon airbox that was lying around the garage, and bodged it into place to test for space....  20170508_174817 by JackMorris205, on Flickr As you can see it's tight, but doable once I get it done properly i'll need to move the washer bottle and if I want full kudos, I need to grow larger testicles and drill the firewall so I can run a cold air feed  The noise makes me think its worth it though!  Thinking about it, might it be worth getting a spare intake pipe and shortening it to place the afm further back.... hmmm... |

Well after the pain of missing jdm combe following the clutch slave cylinder deciding it didnt want to live on this planet anymore, i've finally got round to washing the damn thing! New slave cylinder has really improved things, got a better pedal feel than i've had since i've owned it! Cheers Meerkat! Driving around with speedhunters stickers does encourage me to improve my photography skills haha The paint is okay from 5 feet away, especially if its just been washed, but there's no clear coat despite it being resprayed, paint comes off if i'm not careful even when waxing!! Apparently the plate stands for Upton st Leonards, where the original owners were from, although i don't think they ever saw the ANUS bit....... Loads of things i want but funds are too low, just about to graduate University so need to get a steady paycheque! Wheels, coilies, gv lip to name a few, but lots of little things in mind. Perhaps a turbo one day.... |

I'd never heard of it before I bought the 5! Well i'm fancying e30 bbs mesh, they come up for sale for relatively cheap quite often and they seem to suit mx5s well, either that or TD 1.2 Speaking of plans, met up with a chap over on nutz, got a brand new GV for a pretty good price, was very tempted by all the turbo bits he was selling!   20170619_174241 by JackMorris205, on Flickr hopefully grab some little bolts for it and fit tomorrow evening, way too hot and nice out to do car stuff tonight |

Small update, got my GV lip fitted! Fitting was a doddle, really good fitment, couple of little G clamps make it a breeze It scrapes a touch coming out of the garage i work in, hopefully it just takes more practice getting the exit right, its a bugger of a drive as you can see below  If it becomes tiresome on standard suspension then sadly it may have to go, no way i could go lower, SO many speedbumps where I live, like, for realz. Little boring update, not done much with the car recently other than enjoy it Bought some f1 style mirrors off a local nutzter, now I can get on and refurbish the stock ones that need new springs etc  IMG_3751 by JackMorris205, on Flickr Initial thoughts? they look pretty cool, however from just adjusting them, you can't see prarrie canoe I'll drive with them until i repair the old ones, we shall see how I get on but i don't see me keeping these for daily driving so will probably sell them on here soon if anyone fancies them Also check out the mmmmiata sticker! Apparently my instagram post using the awesome app (which everyone here needs to try if they haven't), got me on the shortlist of peeps to win a sticker, so thanks! Thanks buddy although i blame the lightly modded theme on my lack of money i've always loved silly stanced 5s, and full on racecar style jobbies, but for me i much prefer to own something thats been poked with the modification stick, just enough to be noticed but I don't want to lose any of the character the second I have enough money though that ethos will be out the window šš |
