It's a free board from Pboards but will have annoying ads. I think it'll cost me £5 a month to run it ad free.
Much stuff I need to look into

Forums live and die on their content which is generated by their users. Piss them off and you're doomed.
I'm in this for the community and not the £££. To start with I will be finding any costs out of my own pocket. If, and it's a big if, this actually takes off and gets lots of members and traffic then I would expect to sell stickers and the odd t-shirt and hat to help cover the costs.
I've been involved in running forums before, I know what's involved and that it's not an easy task that people appreciate.
Let's see how things go. In the mean time, let's start filing this place with useful prarrie canoe. Apart from the general banter it's why it's here.

I'm in I think one of the big draws of the other forum is the how to guides and info. Can I suggest anyone on here who's written one over there copies it across? |
