Soft squidgy bits of human waaay too close to heavy machiner as someone with 30 years experience in that sort of profession I find that amusing, UK engineering in the recent past was somewhat hands-on (I've had a finger glued back on) and not as automated as you might think the wood-lathe is the one thing in that vid that I would avoid............................. the thread-roller being secod Rich.

Not much there that I haven’t seen before either, thread and spline rolling together with the gear cutting were all used during my 30 years at RR. Every engineering process you see today had humble beginnings, I have been in press shops with dirt floors...
