I used to, still have the bit of pipe, but never ever achieved the flawless idle I got with a proper card balancer.

May be of interest to those with ITB’s I use a length of pipe & listen to the induction, proper old way (& cheaper ) Rich. That's a familiar sight. A friend borrowed my garage to fix one of those. He had that "tighten till it snaps then back off a bit" technique. Thought I'd never be rid of it. Got it back together eventually but as for tuning it, the downloaded service manual told you how to do every imaginable thing to that bike but for tuning it just said take it to a dealer. No messing. He nursed it to a guy in Aylesbury, with me following and noting the reek of petrol every time he gave it some gas. He was happy with the result though. |

Have to wonder how useful this is, given the increase range, the accuracy will drop off massively. And the payload is probably less...
