Yes both fronts didn't need much bending, do you know if it's the same for the rears? I didn't take many photos when I did the job last spring, but from the one I found, either I cut most of the backplate off, or there wasn't much to fettle. I suppose there's less need for ducting around the rears since they don't work as hard and don't have good airflow anyway? Thanks for checking, I think one of the rears has been butchered in the past so I'm not too fussed about them I suppose. At least the fronts were easy enough!

Rodders pads ordered from BOFI, just waiting on them to arrive, the rubber bits on the front brake, bottom slider pins have all come loose/disintegrated. I think I'm just going to get some new slider pins for piece of mind, the rubber bits are a nightmare to get out of the carrier when loose. Hopefully I've got the brake pad shims, costs are certainly mounting up! Could have got those Willwoods that were up for sale recently I think once it's on the road again I won't be doing much more to it this year.

Removed the rear brakes to see what was needed to get the new discs on, no amount of bending was going to work, so trimmed the guard down as best I could, used the dremel attachment from cutting the bonnet that seemed to work ok. Looks clean, had to take off a little more in places as there's rust in there - will get them painted up before install. Looking good Scott! I posted in an answer to you somewhere recently that I hadn't had a front lockup since fitting my bigger rear brakes, well I fixed that on Friday down the muddy lanes on a rally and can confirm the fronts do still lock occasionally...will have a fiddle with the proportioning valve and see if I can get a bit more going to the rear.

Hopefully I'm not down many muddy lanes then! Have you got a picture of your proportioning valve setup handy please? Interested to see how they plumb in if I need one.

Fronts are in, gone pretty smoothly, perhaps too smoothly but we'll see when it comes time to bleed them. IMG_20230204_165842 by Scott Reid, on Flickr Started on the rears and got the passenger side completed, the brake assemblies aren't as clean as the fronts so had to chase a few threads. Handbrake cables and brake lines are all interchangeable so far. IMG_20230205_190755 by Scott Reid, on Flickr As far as I got with the drivers side: IMG_20230205_192510 by Scott Reid, on Flickr I've got shims on the front pads, but none on the rear at the minute, if I can find some I'll get them chucked on. There is one line that crosses over the master cylinder I might take off and apply some PTFE to, I'm not 100% confident it won't leak, so piece of mind. Although some reading suggests 37482 Loctite, is there a better way to do it? I mean it might not leak but if one is going to it'll be that one.

Yeah, it was very easy to put in. Once you undo the unions into the OEM distribution block and take it out of the way, the proportioning valve fits where that block was, but only one circuit of lines goes into it. The other circuit just gets joined at 100% with a double-female union. Just a bit of persuasion required to make the lines fit in the right place.
This photo wasn't supposed to be of the brake stuff but you can see it bottom left:

Thanks, picture didn't show up but the explanation and a quick google showed enough, doesn't look too bad like you say.

Ah that's weird, I can see it - probably the same issue as last week with the image hosting site I'm using. It's in my build thread here

Trust it to be the last calliper you come to that's in kraken condition rather than crackin', could have been dredged up from the depths. Just bought a reconditioned one to chuck straight on as a refurb kits not too much less everything considered. Hopefully bleeding the brakes isn't a drama.
Trying to measure up my spare decats to sell on, they range from 410-430mm depending on where you measure them. So I'll need to investigate a bit further. Should be 370mm or 440mm, I can't remember in all honesty.

New calliper from Autolink turned up quickly, as always, got it fitted up and checked wheel clearance, no issues. IMG_20230208_192058 by Scott Reid, on Flickr Have been trying to sell some parts to clear out the garage a bit and fund getting this thing finished up. Just need to get some brake fluid to try bleed the system and make sure no leaks. Tuners back on shore again so I'm going to try get it to him next week (fingers crossed), as that'll hopefully get it sorted quicker! Road trip with friends is mid may, for a best of NC500 medley, they've all got some serious German metal: 996 911, 986 Boxster S, Z4 M Coupe....so it'll be interesting in the 5, looking forward to it.
