Just to add, if you've not seen it I'd highly recommend Hell Drivers.
Its lesser known but one of my all time faves, its British and gritty, made in 1957 and features some proper full-on driving.
Early appearances by Sean Connery, Patrick McGoohan, David McCallum, Stanley Baker and Sid James......
