It’s absolutely glorious, with all the original Westfalia commodities!
It could be a little faster, of course, but the little JX has no problem cruising at 75.
It’s also more comfortable than most hotels I’ve stayed at.

Looks like an awesome trip and nice to have no issues with reliability! The 5s are tough old things really Yep, absolutely glorious! I’ve a few bits left to sort that are nagging me. I’ve a hesitation / misfire-type situation under certain load, usually pulling away from stationary at roundabouts - very annoying. Also occurs in higher gears at anything over say 40% throttle. I realised late last week that the hose from cam cover to chrome pipe along the front had split, so ordered new OEM part. Fitted it, and went for a run, totally cured it. Until the next time out, spluttering away again. I’ve new plugs to try, and a fuel filter ready to go on so am hoping they’ll sort it. Fully expecting to find oil in plugs, purely because other threads have said this. Failing that, will move onto coilpack. We shall see. Received Jass front brackets today, to go with Jass side brackets I put on a couple of years ago. First side went on fine, other side has 3 rounded bolts, 🤦🏻♂️. Will have to get handy with the drill. |

Nothing to report, fairly standard practice. Found a shot a friend got last year on the way to an event. Never get to see my car in motion so do like this.  |
