Lovely car and photos, can't help thinking in the second last picture - it'd really suit a GV rear panel. Funny I thought the opposite re: GV. at least through the filters it looks great. I seem to have a thing for them at the minute, anyway lovely car regardless.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Lovely car and photos, can't help thinking in the second last picture - it'd really suit a GV rear panel. I have seen a number of cars with a GV rear panel that I think just looks so right on them, but then I see some where OE rears look far better. If I had the means I'd get one just to try and see if I get used to it, alas I don't so standard it shall stay.

it's an odd one. remmember the NA's rear light panel actually features in some modern art exhibit. MOMA iirc.

Ha, just looked it up. Had no idea. Here's a few poop phone shots whilst my car was up in the air. Always like to have a look underneath whenever I can (rarely), especially with all the scraping. Glad it's all undersealed, one less task. Removed the rear mud guards last week, much prefer without. Would prefer fronts off too like my last one, but want to reduce the amount of prarrie canoe that gets in the front wing-to-sill area.

The OEM rear cluster is a real thing of beauty in my eyes. I really like the GV panel but then I see an OEM indicator flashing and much prefer it

Agreed.
Not totally sure, but a look on MX5Parts shows it may be the IL Motorsports item.

Not exactly a whole lot of progress, just thought I'd add a current snap. Since I last updated with the diff and 'box oil change, I have had front callipers & pads, rear discs & pads, ATE blue fluid, engine oil change and a new windscreen. Car hit 200k kms last night, feels ridiculously good which I'm hoping will be the same after the 6,000+ km trip I have coming up in a couple of months!

Cheers! Very happy with it. Few other things I wouldn’t mind doing but it drives perfectly, it’s solid and the paint is great, so more than content for now!

So typically after mentioning how good the paint was, a silly canoeer of a pheasant in the road decided to fly off into my car as I was about 6 feet from it. Scuffs on the front wing. Not sure they’ll come out. So that’s peed me off.
Getting the car ready for my travels in a couple of months.
Need tyres & alignment and air-con recharge, if it still works...
New original Eunos key blank arrived and got it cut today, strangely only works on drivers lock and ignition.
Also collecting some bits to change the interior a little, I’ll wait ‘til it’s done before posting that though.
Rob.

Car looks lovely man! Really like the wheels too! (Also, what camera set up are you using for the swanky photos?)

Thanks chap!
The swanky shots were with a 5D3 & Sigma 35 1.4.
