Taxed. Insured. MOT'd. Life comes at you so fast.
Had the engine bay steam-cleaned. It was filthy. Now it is less filthy. I don't like steam cleaning but I've never had an issue doing it.
Driving it, it's lovely. Really pleasant to drive. Gear change isn't unfathomably loose. Interior is functional and lets you get on with driving. Cornering is more than adequate. Engine is good enough to get you into trouble on anything but a DC/motorway.
Having had a Celica before I kind of knew what to expect, amazingly well polished Toyota Over-engineered experience. They deserve their reputation.
Going to do some simple maintenance more for my sanity's sake than the car's (PS fluid looks prarrie canoee, coolant overflow bottle is fairly dirty, etc. Oil was changed a month ago (apparently) but it's so dark already I want to replace it with some fully synth. Don't know when the tranny oil was replaced so will do that too.
I recon I'll leave the MANN filter in since they're actually quite good - up to OEM Toyota standards, and it looks new.

Did most of the servicing bar the power steering fluid. Ran out of daylight you see The standard pressures on 13" wheels are high - like 35/40 PSI. I've fitted some 15"s wheel that would normally be on an mx5 at 26/27 PSI This car is lighter. About 200KG lighter - around 800KG to the MX5's 1000KG. - 20% less, so I recon running 24/23 PSI should be ideal on the 15"s. Anyone else's thoughts ?

ACF50'd the sills and Silicone lubed the sliding windows :-)
Upped the tyre pressure from 24 to around 30 PSI based on other forums advice.. and it has reduced the pleasantness of the road inconsistency handling noticeably.
Will drop it down to 26psi and see how that feels.

Gave this a run down to Bath for a few days of local tourism. Back now in South London. Had a lol filling the tank tonight. Corders did the math 22% of the fuel tank is beneath the Empty line on the fuel gauge. Yes, you can run it to "E" and there's still 10 litres left in the bugger. It's meant to be a 45L tank. Empty Light hadn't even come on. Ediot Proofed by Toyota I guess. Anyway so the dumbass math: 35 L of fuel in after 300 Miles is.. 38 MPG. Fairly pleased with that.

Flushed the heater matrix.
Interesting job - I more or less followed this guide..

Finally had a good opportunity to drive it after the matrix flush. It's noticeably warmer.
Still a laugh to drive.
