So then, what's been occurring? LOTS OF CONTENT, THAT'S WHAT
First up was JAE with CombustionPunks - a great show where we get to meet up with people we haven's seen enough of during the year and laze about in a field for a couple of days, surrounded by much JDM machinery. We were somewhat early on the Thursday as we were helping setting up our plot for the weekend..
But the stand soon started filling up, including Yuki the Doge
We soon settled into the weekend, mostly involving sitting around chatting in the gazebo...and at night kept ourselves warm with TURBOFIRE, the £5 sainsburys BBQ bucket aided by an airbed pump. We managed to get this thing glowing red, but it totally stood up to the heat and is still very useable. 10/10 would buy again
So as always we had an awesome time - slightly down on numbers this year due to many reasons, but hopefully will mean next year is way better
Next up, I had to do a Saturday shift at work thanks to rubbish ground conditions getting in the way of piling work, but what it did mean is that due to needing to stay the night at my parents' house, it meant this was my company car for the morning, with it looking totally at home at site
So one of the reasons I had the car that day was because we had very kindly been invited to Dweenimus' wedding at Brooklands Museum (although i didn't end up taking the Boat as we went for the comfort of the DS4 instead) where they allowed guests access to all the grounds for the whole evening, leading to my pose you see here. We had a fantastic time, Mr & Mrs Dweenimus looking absolutely amazing and a couple of other MX5 mentalists in attendance including the DJ who was KraigyJ of Skuzzle Motorsport Autosolo aweosme driving fame
I totally have the look of a proper racekor driver right
Anyway, we have had some rain in the last few weeks, leading to my return from holiday to see this in the boot. Not found the culprit yet, but my guess is headlight seal. I will happily take suggestions for other areas to look at!
I also decided to take the time to prise open Bambi's front sill drains on the passenger side as much sloshing has been heard in the previous few months. A good few wiggles in each hole with a stubby screwdriver and the floodgates were well and truly opened
Goodbye sloshing noises, hopefully hello self-draining ability from here onwards
And finally, something that actually resembles progress in this "progress" thread - I done bought a thing. And eventually will fit it. It's a second-hand DaveFab rear jacking bar. Originally specced by someone else to be more subtle by removing the tow eye and also the DaveFab branding, this came up while I was on holiday in Portugal at a far too tempting price to turn down. And soon I will upload some photos of fitting it in a "Corders might be posting in here twice in a week" shocker
So that's it for now. Once the jacking bar is on, normal lack of service shall resume
