nice attention to detail with the pipework with the turbo intake, I'd have split the compressor housing off & bored that (helps that I have a lathe...) following with intrest Rich.

I wanted to find a cleaner way to run water and oil to the turbo. Test fitment Ffs. Will you stop doing things that I am going to want to copy.

As part of the coolant reroute the thermostat neck would be removed.

Unfortunately I can't find any pictures of the ICV being drilled. on my 1600 I blanked the air passageways & removed the coolant pipework from the ISV (but left it in place for now with its wiring intact to save getting any fault-codes), idle is perfect hot & cold one day I'll remove the ISV completely, thats waiting for a diferent aftermarket ECU & hopefully a turbo..... Rich.

Rich. I'd love to do that. My original plan was to run the coolant lines for the turbo on the hot side, either by taking a feed from the thermostat spacer plate or from the heater core. I decided not to use the heater core because the turbo would present a bottle neck in the flow from the heater and might render the heater useless. I disregarded the idea of taking a feed from the thermostat spacer as the clearance is quite tight on that side of the head (although now I no-longer need the coil pack it's a bit more accessible). I might reconsider the routing when I change the turbo.

I used to caustic-dip & re-anodise when I used to shoot (Airrifle targets) only issue with stripping the finish from alloy is that it can now oxidise (the anodising process creates an oxide layer that is usually coloured with dye) beware of the fumes..... Rich. ps. once the caustic has done its thing, you can easily neutralise by 'washing' in the household dishwasher

When the bottles arrived I had nowhere to put them. They're quite large and I was worried about scratching the coating, so I rested them in the back of the Merlot where they'd be out of harms way. Cons: They're a little high up It's not exactly a stealth look Pros: I can reach the taps and won't need to buy remote bottle openers They're tucked under the roll bar I can reclaim my boot for trips to the shops Bonkers or not, I quite liked it! Even filled, they're lighter than the soft top, so I decided that's where I'd put them in the G-Ltd - I just needed to find a way to securely bolt them into place.
What is that roof??
I know a man that wants to know lol
