Congrats - again!
Really doesn't seem like that long ago since I said that last time round!

I got a few hours in the garage, as rare as that is nowadays The trans and diff hasn't been on the car since some time last autumn, heh. I also sold my dc TIG and plasma cutter and bought a combination machine, water cooled ac/dc and plasma cutter in one. It became a cheap upgrade once the other machines where sold, so it was a nobrainer Now I will need to learn to weld aluminium. I will try to wrench a little more soon, I have a bunch of upgrades planned, but I need to put the car together so I can drive it a little before tearing it apart again.

I did a few small things to the car. New coolant block off at the front neck, fixed a small oil leak and put the propshaft on the car. I also changed the broken auberins oil pressure sensor. They sent me a new one for a lower price, nice since the sensor was a couple of years old. The odd thing is that the new sensor has specs on it when the old one only said "made in china". Hopefully the new one wont fail like the other.

I also changed the broken auberins oil pressure sensor. How have you fitted your sensor? I have one I want to fit. I would use a tee piece to and plumb it in at the stock oil P location, but all the tees I can find are 1/8 npt and I think the block is 1/8 bsp (or 1/8 bspt).

I have it mounted in an oil filter sandwich plate. I also get the oil feed for the turbo from that so it just made sense.
I suppose you could use adapters.

I think I may have mentioned my love for nardi wheels around the house. Apparently so as I got an early birthday present from my SO. Nardi classic 360mm black with red stitching. Sadly, the nardi horn button is very deep and will not work with my snap off, so I made a regular push button work. Excuse the dust, I'm still working on the car, slowly and seldomly

There are things that are less fun than others. Getting old packing tape off frp is one of them. But then, it's probably worth it in the end.

I keep on with not driving the car. Between the kids and house renovation stuff, I rarely have any time to do things. Anyway I had the aim to box in oil coolers in the trunk, so I made it flatter. But I think I'll run the coolers underneath the trunk, using a smaller silencer. Jurys still out on if I'll run the pumps inside or under the trunk. Other than that, the car is together. So that's about 4 days work in 15 months š

Its up and running again. Drove my favourite rally...errr.. auto-x for shakedown. Wet, slippery, wg pressure only and a lot of fun. The car has developed a funky electrical issue where my 0-5v inputs in the ms3 stopped working. 3 of them at least. I cant get my head around why, so I'll probably send it in for repair. The new 3j plate lsd is epic. Its starting to get bedded? in, and the noise is settling a bit. First go with it it sounded like children with hammers in the trunk. But it works well Now, that said, trans cooling is not done. I need my inputs fot that.

Looks like fun... And awesome 'tache there too For the 5v inputs - how are they fed, from 5v vref? Any issues with TPS also playing up?

The inputs are just 0-5v inputs. The feed to the sensor is 12v and it puts out its normal 0-5v. When measuring over the inputs, where the voltage should be zero, they put out between 1.6 and 2.5V. I cant figure it out, all the rest works fine, so I guess the car didn't go all Lucas on me.

I've not played with 0-5v sensors (yet, although it's on the list). I thought you wired them up to 5v vRef, as the power source, to avoid 'drift' caused by different sensor grounds etc in just the same way that TPS / MAP etc are connected...

Our firstborn is crazy about cars. He especially likes my 5. He has now added the skill of imitating a blow off valve. I'm quite happy with that.
