definitely a bit of confusion about which grasshopper :-)
moca2cv came to the one I was at (I had no idea there were two...) and we made a start..
can't believe how quickly the time passed, too. at the end I felt like it was 1am, not 11:50. it was intense.
the start was moca2cv's local blast roads, just south of westerham.. and they were soo good. edenbergring ? toybergring ? I have the track. will look at it carefully. so good.
rest of the route which I came up with was good fun other than a few miles around Woldingham (where I'd never driven before).. and, well, everyone there evidently is chauffeured in SUVs or 4x4s and I was grateful for standard mk2.5 suspension.
ended up behind a trabant at one point near the A217 - or some sort of ex-soviet union car.
also, what the hell is pootings ?

I started at the Grasshopper on the Green, then tried the Grasshopper Inn where I found Alex - definitely made more sense when I got there, loads of parking! I've been there before just didn't know the name.
Enjoyed myself so much tonight I took the very long way back! Only just got in. If I didn't have work in the morning I'd still be out. So much fun. Those bumpy roads though... Christ, the car is now creaky as hell and I think I've lost all my fillings!

Pootings is a hamlet near Crockham hill, supposedly a desirable place to live, best avoided as the better roads are either side of it.
I have my own Edenbridge ring which is why it takes me a ling time to go to Oxted.
Try the Tatsfield hill climb, sorry I meant the Croydon road out of Westerham.

Do tell There are so many roads down there that are just brilliant. Unfortunately one of them was being resurfaced so could only go very slowly (no one likes a face full of Tarmac). Didn't want to hang about there too long as we had other roads to do! There's one I have no idea where it is but when I find it it is glorious |
