Congratulations, hopefully it will be simple to get it working from here
Definitely cheaper than the metal options that are out there (DaveFab etc) but obviously less sexy welding
So I am interested in your progress for sure

Definitely cheaper than the metal options that are out there (DaveFab etc) but obviously less sexy welding yup, and that means more pennies to buy other goodies (like the 16 x long wheelstuds that cost too much ) as to the welding, I've seen some that do not resemble a straight line so I'm happy with plastic anyway, as to fitment, I'm thinking of drilling the scuttle-panel & bolting directly as opposed to bolting brackets to the reservoir then bolting the bracket to the scuttle. think I'll turn some nylon as spacers - the perks of having my own machine-shop with 2 lathes & a mill amongst other tooling.... Rich.

Sounds about right, that clearance fee is an admin charge for dealing with the VAT on your behalf.. or something like that I swear I read soewhere that the 'clearance fee' is something one does not actually have to pay, because it's meant to be for large / bulk / expensive items over a certain cost (??) but is applied to anything, but I'm damned if I can find it again and haven't yet got round to checking the Ts&Cs!

I guess if it's challenged then your parcel becomes very hard to find.......... Rich.

These fees are perhaps going to be a hotter topic when we leave the EU next year and start paying them on stuff from Germany etc too.

(on letter as 'zero rated for vat) I thought vat was chargable (& payable) on goods & services - handling charges falling into the 'services' bracket? organized fraud somewhere? canoenose.... Rich.

Well at the moment we pay VAT & delivery at the point of purchase when we buy something from an EU country, and that's that because the parcel doesn't get held at customs. Buy from, say, the US and you don't pay VAT until it gets to the UK, then you pay any taxes and import duty required and the courier charges you a fee for handling that admin for you, and of course it causes a delay. As of next year EU countries will be in the same category as other countries.

okey, update time.. heres how I mounted the Suzuki Capuccino screenwash reservoir. and the bracket that picks up with a captive-nut (would have been for an aircon pipe clamp) simple 'dogleg' in steel to fit. (other side is bolted direct to bulkhead. and, as a temporary-fit atmospheric breather catchcan (poundshop bicycle drinks bottle with a 'filter' fitted in lid / pipe fed through hole in side) Rich.

Great work! Looks perfect. On the catch can... if it fills up with oil you have more serious issues. Air should only go in to the engine from that side

Air should only go in to the engine from that side HA. agreed Luckily the 'can is empty & has stayed this way since fitting. is there for the 'incase' moment I'm going to plumb it / something similar in between the pcv & the manifold sometime, might re-locate the pcv as that way it should be tidier to plumb..... Rich.

You can get a 90 degree pcv valve, but, indeed, between the pcv valve and the intake is the best place to stick a catch, and you'll want to check it every 1K miles or so. It'll fill up with a mix of hydrocarbons (oil and water and it'll stank of gasoline too from the blowby).

I await your results with interest same here as to import duty / vat & maybe handling charges, I guess 20% for vat & the postoffice will want a cut..... note to anyone thats interested, I believe that I have bought directly from Suzuki in Japan through the sales service 'Rakuten Global Market'... interestingly I had contacted a local Suzuki dealer & was told that there was no stock Rich. Too late now, but I have discovered that when you get the grey card from the post office ( I'm sure they would love it to be silver but it looks grey to me! ) then if you have set up a PO account on their website, pay your outstanding HMRC bill on line, on their site, then unlike the desk in the sorting office you don't get charged the £8 handling fee! Result! Well it saves a few quid.
