Hey guys n gals.
Just wondering if we have any recommendations for uprate slim fans? That ideally work well, and I don't have to faff around making brackets, bolt on solutions ideally?
I'm wanting to add a secondary fan after the turbo conversion, preferably on a switch... Wiring help would also be muchly appreciated!
Thankies!

Lots of aftermarket fans mount directly onto the radiator matrix

BTW it's really easy making brackets, FWIW. Ali bar, bit of cardboard to template to.. ruler, drill, jobs done.

Flattened 15mm copper pipe is good for brackets if you don’t have alloy bar

If you only flatten the ends you can make brackets with different lengths and angles...

What are the reasons you guys are switching over? Given that the OEM fan is already at 1200CFM and the OEM dual fan setup over 2300CFM?

Slimness, originally .... I wanted to run some ducting around the old rad. I've got dual Stoneys on my old (current) rad but I am moving to a Civic rad to allow more air in for the ITBS (place the Civic rad as far towards the passenger side as possible, you get a nice big air gap on the intake side).. and I'd like to put a the Spal fan on there instead of a Stoney one because it is a better fan. I don't have any old OEM fans laying about but it's true the OEM design is really strong. I've still got the OEM fan on my other car and it makes more power and I see no need to change that one.

I am moving to a Civic rad I'm looking into alternatives, possibly an early polo rad as it's crossflow and somewhat smaller than the oe '5 jobbie. - possibly allow intercooler pipework to run both sides (if I get around to such ) also, this type of rad has both main pipes on one side and allows running an expansion-tank system so hopefully a better or at least neater design? Rich.

I used to run a polo radiator on my 2.0xe Westfield, never let me down, so should be more than adequate for our little engines..

I've run a few 'XE' conversions on 'small' radiators, a mk2 escort 1600 standard item works on a rallycar & I understand that the polo rad is common in kitcar circles Rich.
