Awesome figures! The flat torque figures should make it very easy to drive fast. Good job!

The first dyno run was a bit shy of that as it was stupidly hot. Sam did another run in the morning for me. It was merely warm rather than baking hot. So we just scraped into my target. Not that it really matters as you only make peak hp right at the top for a few seconds before snatching another gear. It's the torque which will shift it down the road.
Anyway so long as it makes a nice noise I will be happy. That will do for chasing numbers. Next up, after some saving... dry sump conversion for added safety long term.
Then that's it. Next... Save for my dream car.

A dodge challenger srt demon parked in my neighborhood the other day. My 334whp 5 really felt outgunned by that. There's always a bigger fish! I wouldn't race your turbo beast for sure. I bet the Demon was outright intimidating!!

Yes it was I'd love to drive one. Just to feel what a 850hp ponycar feels like. I'm not as sure I'd like to try turning a corner at speed with one though.

I've seen a few Mustang over here in RHD with 800bhp SC kits. Utter madness. Would make a dream daily!

Beautiful torque curve. That should feel really good when you wind it out.

Yeah the torque appears fairly high doesn't it. Over double the 1.8's peak output from a mere walking pace should feel good. Mostly over 300nm for the majority. Once the engine seal is sorted out it will go back on the dyno again. Apparently they are only about 80% the way through the mapping. The AFR will be smoothed out apparently. More waiting, but the end result should be more than worth it. Everything has been done in a very thorough manner so far. I blame myself for this latest delay. The guys suggested they do the seals ages ago before even starting. I said "No it should be fine". Oh well. First world niggles. Soon be sorted.
I doubt I will bother with hotter cams, ti springs and the upgraded valves later on. More power is pointless I think. Best to keep it stock and have a little more gearbox margin.

lol Always the way - the one job you think you can skip because it will be fine... won't be fine Glad to hear that the AFR will be smoothed a bit, I was a little concerned about the trickling along in traffic aspect so I think it would be good if they can get it more consistent at the bottom end (although I am no engine mapping expert and it might well be just fine!). The torque is going to be monster, you can probably leave it in 4th and just potter around between 20mph and 100+mph I was looking back through the Rolling Road Results thread - I think niklas has a smidge more power than your graph but quite a lot (!) more torque - 408Nm?? That must be 'very interesting' in the wet... lol

Yeah I always knew the top turbo cars would have more torque. Hence why they eat gearboxes. Matt is on his fifth I think. Fine if you are mechanic with time on your hands. A tad inconvenient for me though!
Mine was never about being the fastest. Otherwise I'd have spent a 1/3 of this on a turbo system from G19 and gone faster. For me it's about the noise and smoothness multi cylinders provide. With little drawbacks. Still low mass, simple, fingers crossed reliable too.
This MX5 has the best fun chassis I've ever had. Although I always missed the noise and delivery of my past V6 cars, such as the R32 and GTA 147. So this will combine all my favorite things in one drive.

For the historical record...
Bugatti Chiron just smashed past 300mph. What times we live in.
Yes, all our cars are now a bit old and slow lol.
