Hello everyone, I've decided instead of gaming all nigh I will instead restore and boost a a mk1 1.6 1992 Eunos. This is where I'll document my journey and hopefully help people along the way. I bought the car for a £1000, bad steering rack , engine leaks a bit :/ but overall not too bad at 160k miles runs really well and pulls well. Body needs works but overall good condition.

Looks decent! Nothing wrong with a higher mileage engine - just need to keep on top of oil changes etc.

not too bad at 160k miles 160k? It'll be fine... ...I mean it is KM to be fair but you get the point. Keeping the rust at bay is far more of a concern than mechanicals, they can be fixed. Wheres the leak coming from? I've had a few... .

I had a good drive around last weekend and did some donuts in bit of farm land and it was all good, the play in the steering and the oil is a bit dangerous not to tell the car barely breaks. Currently working on the interior.

You’re not to far from G19 who make a nice turbo manifold & downpipe.

I will fabricate the manifold and downpipe myself, never done it before but how hard can it be?

I will fabricate the manifold and downpipe myself, never done it before but how hard can it be? It depends on how well you want it to flow I suppose. Easy to do a log type manifold & there are several DIY kits about too.

BlackCat & Bofi list them too.

I'm aiming for no more than 250 whp, will fabricate a log and tubular and will see if there's any difference. will probably keep stock pistons but might indulge in forged rods for piece of mind.

You will need rods & bearings on a 250whp Mk1 1.6 that’s done 160000km.
