Nice comedy swearing at yourself! The Eastern layout did look a bit confusing, Outer certainly seemed to flow better. How did you do in your class? Eastern track is better IMO particularly in a slow car like an MX-5, Howards is no longer a slow 5 I suppose and perhaps why he prefers the all out blast of the other track. Good runs though Howard, CM class all looked pretty quick on that day looking at the times. You want to get all Carlos Fandango mate you were struggling for grip Yeah, it got a bit competitive toward the end on Sunday. Quite a few 4WO. I was 4 seconds quicker & 0.6 after handicap than my previous pb when the car was SC’d.

also the gopro software should de-vibrate the video if you set it to. with magic iirc. Ah, but mine's a cheap Chinese knock-off GoPro so doesn't have any magic, apart from costing £200 less.

Was 5th on Saturday, which is my worst of the season & rubbish points too (23.32) but Sunday was much better as I was 3rd with 24.61 . Was beaten on handicap by a MK3 both days which has cams, skimmed head, proper exhaust, cold air intake, remap, etc etc which has a declared 200hp…. I was 0.9 faster Saturday & 2.1 seconds quicker Sunday but he did me because of his ‘declared power’. Am now in the top 3 out of 63 drivers. Should be going to Goodwood this Saturday but that looks doubtful as I’ve only got fumes in the tank…. That's a good place over the season! I would have done Goodwood on Saturday too except that I'm doing a 12-car rally on Friday night, and needed for family stuff on Saturday. Doing Debden sprint on Sunday for my last event of the season. Can't decide whether to fit my new wheels and R888Rs, forecast is dry but not very warm so I'm not sure they'd ever get up to a decent operating temperature. Been pondering getting some engine work done on my Eunos for next season too. On the other hand, if I do decide to go FI, is it worth it? Our 'Speed League' championship adds scores from the best 10 rounds, out of 31, although at least 8 were cancelled due to COVID restrictions. I will have done 7 rounds by the end, so might just scrape into the top ten.

He's pretty handy, I had similar mods by Skuzzle and only made 190 @ NMS so he might not be that far out, BBR cars with similar mods would often quote loads more so I was a bit disappointed to only have that but to be fair when I was competing against the I've battered every BBR200 car I came up against so I reckon perhaps optimistic dyno at BBR, I will see soon I guess. I should have more power, haven't worked out what my new handicap would be with the new power level, was going to get a run on NMS dyno rather than take BBRs dyno numbers.

Hello Sandy, just got back from a grim Goodwood. It turns out PT has got Jenveys hidden behind a massive air box…….. So along with the other mods, what do you think, 225 hp?

Depends on what has been done, I have seen ITB'd cars only putting out 220, as an example this jenvey 2.3 is only putting out 227 but at the same time depending on how spendy he has got and if he threw road friendliness out the window it could be upto 280, you just need to look at the cosworth or SBD duratec builds. If I believe BBR dyno I'm nudging 250, feels good but wouldn't say that good but as I drive turbos all the time NA power always feels weak, loving all the rpms though, noisy beast I assume you guys didn't do the championship dyno meet due to Covid as that would be clear?

Had a great day up at Debden on Sunday. I had pondered fitting my new wheels with R888Rs but the torrential downpour on Saturday made me doubt Sunday's forecast. In the end I probably could have got away with it. Anyway, I was the only car in class A3, which was a bit of a shame as my times were getting better and better, and I finished 5 seconds faster than last time I was there in May! A few runs on the choob here. My fastest was just ahead of the cars in A1, same capacity limit but post-2000. So I managed 7 events this season, and best 10 count, which means I won't be getting much higher up the league than the current 8th place.
