We'd certainly attract a dedicated crowd! Lower case helps to distinguish the 5 but the y then drops. I w trying to add a hint of the old Mazda logo with the m in the circle without ripping it off directly. Are you looking for something to specifically reference the mx5?

Agreed - the 5 needs to be curvy at the bottom and right angled at the top to stop any association with the schutzstaffel. Being at least 50% taller than the other font would be good.

I suspect it will be necessary to use a strong 'figure 5' from one font, whatever the logo ends up being.

Normally something would jump out at me but I'm struggling a little, especially with the making it five related without copying what's already out there. I like the idea that it'll make a cool sticker too. I'll keep it in mind for the next few days and see if I get inspired by anything.

Some really nice work there jimmy  I hadn't looked seriously at generic styles/typography based designs as I figured it needed to be more car based, but some of those work really well. One important point though, you need to lose the apostrophe! |
