+1 for RainExperts in 14s! For 14s, me too. Great on track in the wet, if a bit squishy. I managed to wear my nearside front one out completely on a hot dry Llandow track day though, they generate a lot of heat quite quickly, although for sprints and hillclimbs this is probably a good thing. Very good on slimy country lanes too. i'm using Vredestein Sportrac 5s at the moment in 195/60 14, they are more precise than the Uniroyals, as good in the dry, not quite as good in the wet, but wear very well.

My experience with them was on a Hyundai Accent 1.3 lol They were exceptionally good for a 175/80 (or whatever it was) and really did inspire confidence, which I doubt any of the ditchfinders in that sort of size would. They weren't even expensive!

Yes, I have heard mixed reviews but I bought them specifically for the dry, and particularly track. If money was no object - which its not (just had bit of a shock from work, no bonus this year after we were deffo going to get one & ive spent it already!!! ) I would buy more expensive tyres but these are just over £40 per corner fitted so best I can afford at the mo! they look nice on my refurbed black wheels though so might have to stick em on and go for a hoon - Ill probably drive them up to Finmere on sunday for the Oxford autosolo but take my part worn PS3's for the event

Right chaps Reviving this thread after today's sprint at Clay Pigeon It's a twisty Kart track and the Toyos were just about ok in the dry though not over impressed However for both my afternoon timed runs it decided to pee down and give me wet track. (It sounds like I am being paranoid but the track was dry for most of the afternoon apart from when me and 3 others in my class went round! - twice!!) Basically my afternoon runs were skid pan practice, I would have been better off on supermarket trolley castors!! I''m thinking pilot sport 3s are the answer. Thoughts - have to be list 1a!! Anyone want to buy some little used Toyo T1Rs🤣🤣🤣

Having seen the runs of the others on PS3 I would say they are the tyre to have in your size, PS3 seem to be the most consistent performers in all sorts of weather.

A few have said these, Bridgestone potenza re002 get my vote for the record! I dont have as much experience having never tracked a car, however these have been utterly faultless on the road. the 5 just hangs on remarkably well for street tyres. If you're running 195 50 15 or whatever, i can certainly recomend trying them

My incompetent RWD-noobness + PS3 = no trouble so far on the road, even in the slashing rain
