My first job ever on my five was to.... disconnect the door buzzer. I did this just before I drove it home for the first time

Took it for an MOT
It failed on all four corners for 'excessive fluctuation'. So tomorrow I'll be putting new discs, pads and cleaning everything up and hopefully coming back with a shiny new MOT. Old crusty will live another few years yet.

drools over tobys car.. Not today but over this weekend i am re catted, the car feels subtly less responsive, not slower from what i can feel on the road but i reckon it has lost a horse or 2! I also have a blow somewhere under there which is really Canoeing annoying!, might be the old cat ends, they were Canoeed, had to smother them with sealant.. BUT it is quieter for the track regs now and i can hear my badman airfilter, oh how i missed intake noise!!!

Today I (hopefully) straightened my steering wheel. Was changed just before I bought the car (so I know everything is aligned) and the new one was a couple of degrees out.

Bought a load of different coloured cable from Maplin in preparation for this weekends activity of fixing the radio wiring loom.

Bought a load of different coloured cable from Maplin in preparation for this weekends activity of fixing the radio wiring loom. Good luck! Not a fun job I can tell you... To be fair it shouldnt be too bad, the original connector has been cut at some point and replaced with a block connector and some random spade connectors, so I'm just gonna solder lengths onto each and solder onto an ISO connector, then run fresh cable from the ISO block to the speaker fittings. Although now I've probably jinxed it.

Sailed it back from work! At least the underside should now be clean.

Braver than me, I'll take my soft-roader the Rav. (Though I do need to clean the underside of the 5 so you may be on to something)
