OK, I think one of my first mods is likely to be a new steering wheel. I've got a nice original Nardi in my new vr-ltd but the problem I have is I don't quite fit... With the seat correctly adjusted for the pedals I am about one or two stops from the position furthest back. Which leaves my arms almost outstretched - which is not ideal. So, I'm currently looking at getting a wheel with a bit of a dish to compensate. Is this the best solution? I'm not that tall so I can't be the only one with this issue Also, how do I get the right depth wheel? I want to keep wit Nardi and they are not cheap, so I'd like to get it right...

instead of getting a new wheel - sounds like you already have a lovely one btw.. better option might be to get a spacer or quick-release. work out how much closer you'd like your wheel to be to you... and get appropriate spacer for nardi style bolts. you can get thin quick-releases and thick ones. there's a thread on here discussing those options too: www.mighty5s.com/thread/948/securityeffectively a quick-release is a spacer , with contraption for removing the wheel quickly.

Agreed. If you like your wheel then spacer all the way.

Hm, I'll have to check but I'm pretty sure I've just got a bolt in the centre. It's the same one as in this picture (not mine, can't be rear canoed going down to the garage!) although needs a bit of love due to being a bit tatty. farm3.static.flickr.com/2703/4082686892_c710929b36_o.jpg

Mmmmmm Diiiiiiiiish www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stoney-Racing-Leather-Steering-Wheel-320mm-350mm-Deep-Dish-Alloy-Gear-Shift-Knob-/182006325339 Am considering one of these myself at some point - like you, if I'm close enough to comfortably get decent ability to turn the wheel (may not have been wise to remove the PAS lol) then I'm too close to operate the pedals properly! My worry is that the stalks will be a fair reach away if one brings the steering wheel out by a few inches - my current wheel is flat and they are nicely reachable, so perhaps it could be a plan to find that chap who does milled stalks, to see if versions could be made that were bent forwards??
