Hey guys, So had an exhaust rattle last few weeks and today got under the car and it was coming from o2 sensor area. As I was fiddling around the single wire from the sensor just pulled off with easy, and I removed the lambda. The thing rattled like a maraca. I’m not overly bothered as I’m going wideband very soon, so there’s the reason to upgrade now. However previous owner had done a bodge with the wiring. The loom didn’t have a plug, instead it used a spade connector to connect it, which makes me question whether or not the thing worked in the first place. What I want to know is if I was to chop the plug (with some wire) from another single wire vehicle, is it a straight soldering job? Cable is single core but has a wire wrapped around, is that the negative which needs to be grounded somewhere?

if you've got enough space / length of cable, decent linesman splice !
