So long as it works on a mk1 with a glass rear window! I am adding one of these to my wish list. I don't yet have the funds due to a recent spending spree, but by the time something pops up I probably will... Please PM pics, condition and price. Thanks!

6 point Cusco will lose some seat travel. There's one for sale in Aberdeen though.

I don't think any of the Cusco, Safety 21 or Carbing bars will work with a glass window. The rear legs go back further than the glass window will allow. Having a glass window is always going to compromise the bar a bit as the rear legs want to be at a good angle from the main hoop to give enough strength in a roll. The MSA recommend a minimum of 30 degrees, but ideally you get a bar that exceeds the minimum requirement by a good margin.

In my white car.. I have a glass rear window and a rollbar that goes down behind the seats, but I don't know what the make is.
Next year I'm tempted to get a GC style one for the blue car since they are a great improvement to safety.

Thanks for all your input. I just googled the GC one. They say it works with all models, which will obviously include the glass screen mk2... www.gcfabrications.co.uk/Mx5_GC1_Roll_Bar/p2703117_13653880.aspxIf anyone knows of others which definitely fit I will consider them. So far this is the only one which seems certain to fit...

I have a TR Lane GPD and a glass screen. Fine zipped or unzipped. Same, worked fine with a plastic or glass window. Although now I have a permanent hardtop.

That looks really good.
Although after speaking to Grant at GC I may well be going for one of theirs all fitted for zero hassle.
