I've always enjoyed making things from wood: little projects here and there, over the years. Sometimes speaker enclosures, or art, or DIY type things. More recently I have bought a load more kit so I can make a wider range of things to a higher standard. The recent additions are: DeWalt router mounted in a Trend router table, Makita circular saw, Makita table saw, Makita random orbital sander, more measuring kit etc. In down time from illustration projects, plus DIY, I aim to do a lot more wood work. Anyone else into this? Or anything creative come to that?

Most of my stuff is from ages ago. I'll have to dig out some old pics. I can always post up the new project as it gets going.

I tend to be handy with oiling and polishing wood but not much else... yet.
Then I watch next-level stuff from stankoff vids tho - he loves japanese woodwork..

If you don't already know them have a look at Yandles. Totally kid-in-sweet-shop place for woodworkers. Not only lots of specialist machinery but rare woods as well. They organise open days where coach-loads of like-minded peops turn up.... Cheers, Pewe.

Spent yesterday building the router table and (huge) table saw.
I ordered some premo birch plywood and other things today... another £650. Canoe me sideways! How did it add up so quickly? I could have bought a roll bar cage and door bars for that.
ps
You know you have it bad when you see everything in terms of five parts!

I lived (and my mum still does) just a village over. Never went anywhere with it because I am crap at woodwork
