How much were you abusing the starter zoona in your path to diagnosis ?  When I've 'awoken' my cars I tend to give it more than 5 seconds in 30 of run time on the starter to get the oil flowing. Hoping it's enough time to dissipate the heat... |

I wanna know what on earth caused the commutator ring to break up like that, never seen anything like it No idea. It looks like that was the start. Then all the brushes got mangled, and ripped all the windings out. I am good at breaking stuff. |

Hoping it's enough time to dissipate the heat... Not much... I ran it a few times to get oil pressure, for 20 seconds each maybe. Then three times and ran the engine for about 15 mins while trying to run it in a bit. And probably anther half a dozen in-between those. But not in really quick succession. And it has always started immediately (apart from building oils pressure obviously) Are you .. trying to blame me? I've never heard anything so outrageous. |

Problem number two: Starter motor ate itself. Nope, don’t know. But it did a number on itself:  In the words of Guenther Steiner... "Holy FOK"  I'm afraid I have no words of wisdom, how on earth it ended up that way I have no idea. Wow |

In your defence I don’t reckon you are guilty in the ECU “fuse gate”, I bet the fuse box came with the new loom with the fuse in it.

Have faith, hopefully it was something external that Canoeed the ecu, and it’s now fixed, otherwise it will be Canoeed again
