prepare brains im Gonna ask multiple questions instead of spamming with different threads.
1. I want some window rain/wind deflectors for my mk2.5, I can't find any apart from..
2. Anyone brought from vary.co.jp? Found someone there but not heard of it before..
3. Anyone got a reasonable idea on how import tax works, I don't wanna order something and then cry when fedprarrie canoe then whack a whopping great big bill on my door step
4. And finally, who's brought /imported from top Miata before? I want some goodies from there but not used before so any input is welcome!
Sorry for brain hurts, please go easy on me

1. I'm confused - window/rain deflectors on a convertible with frameless windows? How does that work?? I thought they normally fitted round the top of the window hole in the (normal, with a frame)door? 2. Nope! 3. Import tax = 20% VAT on pretty much everything you purchase over a small amount (can't remember exactly now, but it's under £30, for sure) and there may be specific import tax added to certain classes of product. If you check out the HMRC website you should be able to find a list of categories of item that would incur a charge, along with the charge. FedEx will also add c.£13 (or more) to the tax bill as a charge for collecting the tax - damned cheeky if you ask me, especially when (like me) you're only paying about £20 in tax on an item anyway... 4. Not me!

Yes, and the ones you have found work well ... that's the Garage Vary website, they are a good company but you might struggle to get them to sell to you. They have been ripped off by so many UK companies copying their stuff that they often won't ship here ...

For US products I get them delivered to a relative. If you tell them it's for export they remove the tax. Said relative then holds them for me or brings them over when next coming. Saves a lot on shipping and taxes but adds a lot of time.
Lots of JDM import people to buy from, if you talk to some of them they'll be able to give you landed prices. Some other choices:
JDM distro RHD Japan Jauce Blackhawk Japan
