So I will have a budget of up to £500 quid, and I want a new exhaust from the manifold back. The one on there at the moment is a homebrew catback jobbie which sounds lovely, but the whole thing is looking a lot worse for wear and has a couple of minor blows. I am after recommendations on a full system from the head back within the given budget preferably, there is a little flexibility on this though. I also want a decat pipe to put in place of the cat as I feel this is just a tadge restrictive from past experience the engine frees up a lot more without it. 1995 1.8 manual flavour Eunos, come at me peoples! Will be looking to buy around the back end of June when I come back from my travels.
ETA: Would rather something that deletes the EGR setups also, cheers!

Looks good on paper, but I've seen other stainless catbacks around for less? What are peoples experiences with the mx5parts manifolds/downpipes?

ugh... mx5parts. don't go to them for performance bits they don't really sell that stuff. look at moss or RBE (racing beat europe) for manifolds and probably some downpipes too.

I've been going through this myself. There's very little available unless you have an unlimited budget for Japanese or American products.
I have never heard of the Jetex brand. The Cobalt manifold is only available for the Mk2. And I have been told that the Jackson Racing manifold sounds crap. For your budget, you have only got Cobalt and MX5 parts.

Cobalt to stay in budget, or Racing Beat if you can stretch to it. Avoid the MX5Parts, they look pretty but that's about it.

I like the look of the Cobalt cat back and have read up good things about it, just need to settle on a manifold though. I think the JR is a touch on the expensive side however, and I'd want a manifold wihtout the EGR takeoff.

Keep an eye on the sale threads and you can sometimes pick up awesome stuff on there!

I think the AKAutomotive 'Race' system only fits standard manifolds because it's designed for the racing series that doesn't permit manifold changes!

Oh, I forgot about GoPerform exhausts - they've got a few clips on YouTube.
Skuzzle sell them and they were on my list before I splashed the cash and went with the AK!

I bought an mx5parts cat back and then later got a Racing Beat manifold. The 5parts sounds pretty good, I'm really not a fan of the dual skin tip that it (and the Cobalt) has, iirc it's 2.25". The RB manifold is a thing of beauty, well worth the money (fairly sure it offered the largest gains in a manifold comparison), think that's 2 3/8" dia.
If I was to buy again I'd definitely just get the full RB system and then just change the tip to something I like the look off.
