I'm not totally sure on the finish, it's a little rough in places so will need doing. It could come out gloss as some of it is kinda shiny already.

So I was really looking forward to driving the car in it's new colour, but then on the day of painting I went and broke my hand, all by myself! This means no driving for about 6 weeks  so gutted. Here's a spooky skeleton hand! You cant even really see the break but I've busted a few little bones in the middle of my hand and also sliced off the very end of my finger! Viewer discretion is advised on that one, it's pretty gross, mods can delete it if you think it's a bit much lol  And the finger... Gross!!!  |

It sounds stupid but, I slammed my hand in a door and the latch on the wall took off the end of my finger. I found the bit that had been chopped off and threw it in the bin haha!
If you check out the x-ray and follow my 3rd finger down to the palm, you can see where it's slightly mishapen and a slightly whiter area is where my bones are busted.
Fortunately, as a teenager I mastered one-handed typing haha

So it's been an age! Turns out that I did much more damage to my hand than was first thought, many more broken bones, nerve damage, surgery, pins and wires! Joy. All I want to do is finish the bodywork om my car  |

I'm getting bored as hell not being able to drive so a kind mate of mine popped over last night to take the Mazda for a spin and also so I could clean the thing, it's been about a month since it's turned a wheel and it's gathered some street grime which was driving me nuts whenever I went to check on it. I also picked up some Eunos foldy sun visors, 'coz JDM yo! Or something. Took some pictures to help keep me upbeat! And yes, that is a giant pile of mud in the car wash, and no it didn't come from the Five!     Can't wait to drive this damn thing again! |

Oh yeah, I also bought a new intercooler as the S14 one I had was going to be a pain in the ring to make fit properly. I'd heard about Ford TDCi intercoolers working well, so I snapped one up off eBay for the grand sum of £21! It's a top feed and the brackets should be easy to make work with the MX5, I'll be going with the OTT pipe routing to hopefully help reduce lag but also it looks much cleaner in my opinion. Due to being out of action for most of the summer, it looks as though it'll probably be towards the end by the time the new lump and turbo gubbins go in. Ah well.
