Evening. As title really. Just finished my last can of above and looking at buying a 5 litre tub of WD40 with spray bottle off eBay £22.25. Or is there anything else that I should consider? Many thanks Chris

Plusgas! Not cheap, but it actually does the job unlike wd40

Depends what you want to use it for really. WD40 is just a water dispersant so good for those situations where you don't need lube, GT85 has teflon in it so that's good for a light coating of lubricant as well (and my god it smells good!), and Plus Gas is penetrant so good for getting pesky bolts loose. I use all three.
Other sprays I use - spray grease (I forget the brand), great for a quick squirt on seat runners, window guides etc, and 3-in-1 spray oil, great for cogs and chains etc.

Rust prevention and short term treatment go for ACF50, always worth coating anything exposed to the elements in this when its clean. Also acts as a mild lubricant, heavily used in the aviation industry.

plusgas to move heavily-rusted bolts. this isn't an oil that remains, it's a wicking high-volatility thing. definitely not a lubricant.
wd40 to clear out water and shift mildy rusted bolts. it doesn't do well as a protector against rust because it contains so little mineral oil. good for cleaning things tho. ok at lubricating.
acf50 to protect against rust - oil will stay there for.. a long time, mildly lubricating (better than wd40) but not really a rust-shifter, just a protectant.
silicone spray for treating plastics and rubbers. great around engine bays and window seals.
duckoil probably does all three alright but and I'd rate it better than WD40 at any of them, but not as good as acf50 or plusgas at what they do specifically.
3-in-1 is probably as good as duckoil, definitely also better than wd40. light machine oil that can be used for other things and is a good lubricant too.
for purely nuking rusted bolts I recommend a special 50/50 atf-acetone mix! (kills fish and wildlife too)
tbh, WD40 is oversold and not really that good other than for the most minor household things.
I guess GT85 is halfway between duckoil and acf50, but I wouldn't know. not tried it.

WD40 is used to clean our stainless hob and sink, and that's about it.

The best thing I've found for rusty bolts over here is liquid wrench. I don't know what chemicals are in it, but they're MAGIC. I think it's hard to get in the UK though.

That's the longest video I've ever seen to describe mixing a 1:1 mix of two fluids. I've got two ARB bushings to swap out in the not so distant future, I'll try the liquid wrench again on some properly crusty bolts then.

Thanks for info. Think I'm going to give the 50/50 home made stuff a go.

For lubricant Durex ones are pretty good.
But really, instead of WD40, I've used Halfords Shock and Unlock as a penetrative spray, with some success. It's pretty cheap, and seems to work well.

I buy cheap penetrating fluid from the local discount shop - works a treat. Horrible on your hands though - probably made in china and contains illegal solvents!!
