Not a bad way to fill a drive! Excuse a silly question, what is that V6 engine in the blue one? Nissan 300zx, not the obvious choice but 230bhp as standard sounded like a good idea, especially as most of the hard work has already been done!! Russell This is an interesting car indeed! V6 torque with naturally aspirated response probably make a very entertaining car. Does it need much work still?

Refurbish or replace all wishbones and shocks Mount diff properly Replace rear wiring loom Sort rear sills Try for an MOT So it's doable in a couple of weeks ... although it will be more like a couple of months as I've got a lot on at the moment. Started into the V6 today, hoping to get it on the road for Retro Rides on Sunday ... that means a 2 part rebuild. Part one is get it running, safe and on the road. Part two is to drive it round for a bit and sort out whatever it needs.
Sadly, part 3 is to sell it. I have too much money in too many projects and another interesting car is about to come my way so this one and another 2 will go to make some space

It seems funny to me. Naturally the mazda V6 was considered for transplant, then the Jag V6 and - bizarrely - the Vauxhall V6 but no-one had really considered the Nissan V6. When the car (I think) naturally leans towards a V6 powerplant rather than a V8, it appears very tidy and well situated in the bay. Any more bay pics?

I don't think there are many 300zx around, and they have a certain value. MX6s are very cheap to buy, and the other V6s are out of saloon cars etc so there are loads of them around. I'm away for a few days, will get some better pics once I've tidied it up a bit Russell

Bit of an update, I've managed to get rid of the silver low mileage Eunos and the cheap G limited, so the drive looks much better! It's just the V6 and my BRG track car left. And a Volvo Amazon with an MX5 engine that seems to have appeared from somewhere ...

Time for a change ... or should that be changes? I somehow bought a Mk2, and a Mk2.5 this week ... something to do with the time of year and cold weather making people sell soft tops off ... pics to follow, but one of them works and I've even been for a drive in it!
Then a car I'd sold came back ... a UK 1.8 BRG Mk1. So I am now back up to 5 MX5s (the V6 and the track car being the other 2) ... hmmm, probably ought to sell some

Update time ... The Volvo is still sat in a corner, waiting for a new engine ... my green track car is still sat in the garage, waiting for a miracle ...
Got a Mk2.5 Sport that I'm using as a daily ... following a conversation with Vlad from Jass, I'm trying my best to have at least one MX5 on the road at any one time. This one came up fairly cheap and fairly local, so Cerberus was roped in to give me a lift and I grabbed it ... really pleased I did, it's got some rust issues but will do me fine until one of the other cars gets finished. It's really nice being back in a 5 ... top down in the winter, is there anything better?!!
Still finishing off the V6 and another green Mk1 1.8, thinking I'll sell them on when the weather improves a bit. Managed to buy an auto recently as well, the Auto bits are being stripped out to go into a Triumph TR3a replica (yes, really!) that's being built for a disabled guy. Once that's done, I'll do ... something ... with it. Haven't thought that far, but it's a solid Mk1, so worth hanging on to. Then there's a Mk2 I bought .. can't remember why I bought it, even my wife seems to have given up even asking whether the cars on the drive are new, old, coming, going or just lodging with us for a short time!
There are some pretty huge changes happening to my green car, but I'm not going to say anything else or give a timescale as it always seems to fall apart when I say "my plans are ...." Hoping it will be an interesting, road legal track biased car though.
Russell.

those seats... so lush. what are they ? Made by NAR in Japan, for the NA MX5. Not seen another one in the UK, one came up on Yahoo auctions in Japan but it was red, I did think about buying it and getting it re-covered but it went for £800 before the shipping and import tax!
Russell.
Just seen this seat - it looks awesome, like it has decent lower back support and everything
Do you still have it?

I ought to clarify her position on the cars ... it's not that she can't keep up or has lost interest, she's too busy making plans for what we do with the Amazon, and working out how she can get me to ditch the MX5s and get a 911.
