Hi All, It's my intention to do lots of trackdays etc this year to really learn how to drive my mx5 propperly! Unfortunately I'm based in North London, and so many of the interesting events seem based way up in the midlands. I'm looking to get driving as much as possible! Any ideas/advice PS I have to drive my car to events/trackdays and sit in my Sprint v all the way

Brands hatch or Bedford sadly. Both quite far away and about 2 hours from me!

Isn't the M25 used as a car park during the day and a race track at night!! Ps . I do not condone racing on public roads

Lakeside Grand Prix was popular a few years ago...but i think the police have put a stop to that kind of thing now
You are pretty limited for tracks...have a look for airfield days nearby but bedford and brands as mentioned are going to be closest. Rockingham is a bit further but offer good tuition

Take a tent and have road trip. Castle Combe isn't too bad as it's a boat down the M4.

Come a bit further down the M4 and join us at LLandow for 5fest in July!

North Weald airfield has a company using it that does training and track days - they also do 'event days' where it's something like £40 for the day, at which you can do a couple of handling circuits and also some high speed manoeuvres. They limit it to one car at a time so there's no issue with baseball cap-wearing moron taking you out, and the tracks are pretty short so you aren't waiting around for long

Richmond park is a bit of a race track... Not that I'd know.

Where in North London? I know a few morning routes and all day road trips.
Track day wise, Brands Hatch is your friend.
