Opinions? Car is going from red/yellow/green to a light blue/turquoise colour. I'm thinking that it might pay to have a light primer underneath to help the colour pop a little more rather than just keying the red factory paint. I'd prefer not to just as it's more effort but a light coloured high-build primer would also help get rid of some of the deeper scratches on my roof and bumpers.

Are you going for matte finish? There's an RS4 I've seen with that matte baby blue paint that looks SEX

It's a gloss finish from this particular series of Montana so it shouldn't be matte. Either way, it'll look better than it does currently.

I'd primer. It will highlight any obvious imperfections.

I think you're right, I might well do my roof first and see how it goes as that's the worst for scratches and gouges weirdly. Maybe it's been stored poorly throughout it's life.
