I'm looking at Canoeing the handling up on my NA and looking to fit some spacers. I'd like to fit 20 to 25mm spacers all round. Any recommendations? Any obvious problems I should be aware of? I'll definitely want the hubcentric I know that but otherwise I'm not sure. Cheers

Depending on the wheels you fit you might have to mad camber them to fit or roll the arches.
I think FreakyParts make them?

I can suggest the route I went, but you may not like it. get the longer studs.. ala 949racing.com/ARP-wheel-studs-miata.aspxthen you can really adjust the spacing, and the spacers are cheaper. also longer bolts more secure, so the thinking goes. buy some 10mm, 5mm, 20mm etc spacers to get the number you want. downside, you need to run with open nuts, not closed ones. personally, I rather like this look. others may disagree. more threads on the bolt, more safer, yes ? The other method is the offset one, where you have double the number of bolts, but this to me adds more points of failure, and is less 'adjustable' www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIRENZA-BLACK-FORGED-WHEEL-SPACERS-10MM-4x100-M12x1-5-FOR-HONDA-CIVIC-CRX-JAZZ-/181227312729?hash=item2a31fd5659:g:jBUAAOSwNRdX9PQX

Jass have just posted a pic on IG of their spacers. Look nice. I'll respectfully disagree with Atlex on method Obviously the best method is getting the correct offset wheels

A while ago I was looking at going down the road of extra wide track on my NA and fitting arch extensions and bought a full set of hub centric spacers but have since decided to for a more standard look as I'm a little too old for the "RICER" look !! (People would just stare, point, laugh and throw stones or such like.) Also having only just last week found out that you could replace the bolts on the hubs I'd go down the route outlined by Atlex makes sence I do currently have in the garage somewhere a full of spacers 25mm if I remember correctly and these could suit your needs perfectly.

I've messaged you Chris The wheels are the standard steel rims. I think they are 5.5 wide? So 25mm will be fine I'm sure? I do love the idea of the studs with adjustable spacer height but my skinny ass wheels will need a 3 foot spacer to hit the arches I think!

I don't think that you would have a problem having them on your car but I am pretty much new to all things MX5. I'm sure that if I'm wrong on this plenty of members here will correct me. Just don't want to sell you something that's not suitable for you.

A trusted seller The type of spacers I've received from Chris are hubcentric with threaded inserts set into the aluminium spacer, then steel studs screw into the spacers. Can anyone advise the best way to torque the studs? I'm thinking the 2 lock nut method?

Or should I ditch the studs and use bolts instead?

Hi Tom. Thanks for the feedback as a seller. With regards to fitting I'd go down the route outlined by atlex with longer hub bolts and open ended nuts. Makes sense to me. Chris.

Like a massive twat I didn't even think about using longer studs with these hubcentric spacers. Of course they will line up ok! It's only conversation spacers that won't work. I can just take the studs out and run the longer studs through the holes. Ignoring the threaded holes. Thanks people
