My Grandfather was at Cambrai. I always thought that, as an infantryman scrambling about alongside the tanks, that he had the rough end of the stick. Having seen the reality of being inside, I'm not so sure....either way, it was totally canoe. OMG. Hell of a thing to have been involved in. Then again it showed how much the British had learned in a year since the Somme in terms of new weapons and tactics. Casualties were proportionately much lower at Cambrai, despite their being on the receiving end of much the biggest counterattack the Germans had ever mounted.

Bob "Father of the Miata" Hall once wrote that the normally aspirated SR20DE would have been his ideal engine choice for the MX-5. That would have been quite something to build from.

Billet engine block CNC... Nothing, I knocked one of those up with my dremmel......................... Was at Perkins engines when someone selected the wrong tooling on the block line and ruined a few hundred precast blocks, somehow he kept his job!

Interesting topic but OMG I couldn't bear the presentation. The tense, driving rock backing track was ridiculous enough but the narration, by a guy who could find making a cheese sandwich AWESOME and fraught with TERRIFYING JEOPARDY, is just ludicrous. I skipped about 90% of it, but honestly don't think I missed anything significant.

(west coast chopper?)
