I'm looking into this too at the moment. The Garage Star one is much too expensive for what it is. The best bit about it is the end cap thingy - it's available separately from Garage Star, but they want more than fifty quid for it, and it's on backorder. So I'm in the process of doing a diy ghetto version - couple of quids worth of carpet from Car Builder Solutions, and an end cap knocked up from a piece of leftover heat shield material. I'll let you know how I get on. There's also a chap in Australia that does one - you can get the stainless end cap on it's own (with or without window switches) and a template to cut your own carpet: omgpham.com/store/centre-console-delete-kit

There's meant to be a method where you take a piece of carpet (possibly parcel shelf) and can trim something very good out of it to use on the tunnel. I forgot where I saw the instructions tho -)

Finished this today, total cost about a tenner. any chance you've got the measurements or template you used? TBH, I didn't make a template. I started to try and make one out of paper, but it was too awkward. In the end I just got a couple of metres of cheap lightweight car carpet from CBS (one metre will be enough): www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/lightweight-carpet-from-a-roll-black-per-metreIt's quite floppy, and easy to handle. I started with the gear-lever hole (4.5" diameter, I found a paint pot and drew round it) a few inches from the end of the carpet, stuck it over the gear lever, and trimmed the carpet to fit everywhere else with a pair of scissors. The handbrake lever hole is just a slit, cut in situ. The carpet isn't exactly hard wearing, so I'll probably replace it with something more substantial in time, using my ghetto one as a template. The end cap thingy was made out of an offcut of heat shield I had left over from doing my exhaust manifold: It's very easy to form with just your fingers. I bent it to shape in situ, trimmed it with strong scissors, and glued a piece of the carpet onto it. It screws to the bottom of the tombstone using the original centre console fixing points. I got the heat shield stuff over the counter at Merlin at Combe: www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/cirrus-giii-3-layer-heat-shield-material-aero-cir-sIf I'd known it was this easy, I would have done it years ago. Weight saving: just under 1.5 kg + more elbow room. Result!

There's a thread on one of the US forums with the template for using a piece of parcel shelf carpet. That's what mines made out of

Be careful if you use one of the online templates for shaping your carpet. I marked mine out, cut it and it wasn't even close.
