I need to replace my brake calipers as the NS is dragging. The disc and pads on the ns are shot because of it, and I have a set of 1.8 (non sport) discs and pads in my shed from the last car.
What do I need to buy for the swap? Calipers, carriers, anything else?
(anyone got a pair for sale?)

I swapped mine out for 1.8 mk1 brakes. I think they are the same as mk2? All I needed was the carriers if I remember correctly. And something to bend the dust shields thing back so it doesn't rub on the discs

Just carriers needed. Calipers are the same.
What you’ll have to do is install the carriers upside down, so nearside carrier on the off side, and off side carrier in nearside.
Remember you’ll need 1.8 brake pads (not just the 1.8 discs).

My Mk2 1.8 calipers and carriers arrived today, and I'm just giving them a clean up before they go on the car, hopefully Saturday.
Are people still painting them red or are the fashion police on top of that? Black seems a little boring, but red feels a little dated? A bit max-power?

My calipers are yellow to match the car (previous owner) and my carriers are red 😁

I actually like black because it shows rust/damage better than other shades, at least, to my eyes.

Far more bhp with yellow calipers, read it on Migweb so it must be true.

Corders, you need to match your swage lines, that would look awesome
I'm thinking that I'll go for black calipers with red carriers, see if I can start a trend
