Quite literally. Bought this Swedish Made Canoe Enlarger from Skuzzle. I quite like it. Saab 9-3 Aero by Kevin Lake, on Flickr Saab 9-3 Aero 210BHP It's fast and can safely transport my shopping from Waitrose poundland, and also has several cup holders for McDonalds. It is automatic which is good because I am getting lazy the closer I get to 30. That is also bad because Jayne will steal it there was no danger with a manual car of that happening. Everything on it works except the original radio but that's OK it has an aftermarket one fitted for me to play classical music through. It smelt a bit of wet dog when I got it because it was leaking from a few places, I have fixed them for now with tape and all sorts of bodges. No leaks so far. It's not very good on fuel but I managed 30MPG on a round trip to Somerset with lots of B and A road twattery. I might get it remapped to 250BHP.

Is that the 2.8 V6? No less than three of my mates have bought those cars in the last 18 months. Turns out the clutch doesn't last long when remapped to 290!

These are nice motors - I have seriously considered one of these, like the sportwagon as well, Such good value for money, they are usually really well specced

The 2.2 Diesel is supposedly the one to have. The 1.9 is apparently pretty crap and breaks a lot. I think it came from a fiat or something prarrie canoe like that.
Funnily enough I wasn't even looking for one of these and had never considered getting a Saab in my search for a barge (FWD, I wanted RWD). But after reading up on Omegas and finding out unless you get one with a known cambelt change every 40k it'd need to be done because the guides are made of cheese and fall apart taking the belt with it, and even though the engine is the right way I didn't fancy doing that on a V6 engine and I won't pay a garage because I'm skint. I did also consider older Volvos but sadly they've all been bought by twats and 'modyfied dorifto yo yo' (even the auto ones) so nice ones demand a higher premium. Or they are rusty and smell of bodily fluids.
So I ended up with this and it's probably faster than all of the above anyway.

That's interesting - my understanding was the Fiat 1.9 turbodiesel was a good engine, reliable and going forever in things like Alfa 147s?!
Although that is derived from reading Pistonheads, so I have no empirical evidence to support my position

Yeah that's the one. Apparently it isn't that great from reading various sources on the web (including PH!). Strange. Again I suppose that is comparing it to the other Diesel engine and the petrol Ecotech engine in these, both of which are allegedly bombproof.
Diesels, dirty horrible smelly things.
