Mazdas aren't built for our salty roads. Seems all Mazdas suffer not just 5s.

Mines got the 29mm hub nuts I’ve got tons of sockets but not one fits the 29mm well What a stupid size😣 My Bro in law is lending me his 3/4 drive set Gonna need it - my 1/2 breaker bar won’t touch em!

If I had to change a rear wheel bearing again I would either pay someone else to do it or seriously consider buying a good used hub and halfshaft as a complete assembly rather than face the heartache of trying to separate shaft from hub.

So one side is done and went pretty easy, the other side is being a pig and now has started to move but in doing so it broke my (not very big) set of pullers, I'll get some more tomorrow.

Left hand rear wheel bearing, hub removal small puller - broke big puller - didnt move special hub puller - just moved (perhaps!?) 20 ton press and oxy acetylene moved a mm but stubbornly refused any more until we thought that it was getting dangerous i have now ordered a second hand good one from Autolink BUT not the end of the story I have a stubborn streak and a bloody minded refusal to be beaten, I wanted to save the carrier if nothing else. big grinder, big hammer - I won na na na na na I did save the carrier - not much else though!!
